Organizing and planning for summertime is a challenge. Whether it is day camp or sleep away camp or at home. Parents need to do the research and make the plans. Children also need to be prepared for the changes in their routine. This workshop will help you look at the alternatives and whether they are a fit for your child’s needs and your budget and help you plan a successful transition to summer.
* How to help your child be involved in the planning for their summer.
* Discuss what will be familiar, as well as what will be new.
* Reassure your child that it's OK to have mixed feelings about the summer.
* Help your child learn how to plan for new experiences.

Becky Thomas is the Director of the Early Childhood Development Center, a division of the Center for Comprehensive Health Practice, Inc.. In her role as Director, Becky develops and teaches Parenting Education Courses for mothers, babies, educators and medical professionals, and supervises weekly parent / child development classes. The classes are designed for parents who have children from newborn to age three, each group is organized by age, meets weekly and is led by a trained parent educator.
