Workshop Series

Fall and Spring Parenting Workshops

Twice a year the Parents League hosts a series of 4 or 5 daytime workshops at one of our member schools. Past topics have included: reading to your child, discipline for ages 2 to 5, eating disorders, sleep habits, sibling rivalry, sex and sexuality, homework, bullying and parent/school communication.

Special Needs Workshops

Following a “support group” format under the guidance of our Special Needs advisors, these workshops are held at the Parents League offices four times during the academic year to discuss all aspects of educating and parenting children with special needs. Specialists in the field will also contribute in their areas of expertise.

“Tweens” Workshops

New this year! The Parents League will hold a series of six workshops at our offices to identify, define and explore the lives of our children, ages 10 to 14. Beginning with an overview of the “tween” years followed every other month by specific topics affecting this age such as health, changing schools, sexuality, friendship, and internet behavior.

Please remember that workshops are open to PL Members only.
