Target audience: parents with children of all ages

Using evidence from his own life, New York Times bestselling author Dr. Ned Hallowell will showcase the ways human connection propels people to overcome tremendous odds. Dr. Hallowell will share his advice and provide strategies for how to reestablish the human connection in everyday life, for example, how to replace ‘screen time’ with ‘face-to-face’ time. By the time you leave this presentation you will be eager and excited to use it in your own lives every day in many ways.

Dr. Hallowell recently published a moving  memoir, Because I Come from a Crazy Family. Books will be sold and signed following the presentation.

Edward (Ned) Hallowell, M.D., is a child and adult psychiatrist, a New York Times bestselling author, a world-renowned speaker and a leading authority in the field of ADHD. He was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School from 1983 to 2004, graduated from Harvard College and Tulane School of Medicine, and is the founder of The Hallowell Centers for Cognitive and Emotional Health in Boston MetroWest, New York City, San Francisco and Seattle. These Centers offer comprehensive mental health diagnostic and treatment services to patients and their families. 

He has authored twenty books on various psychological topics including attention deficit disorder, the power of the human connection, the childhood roots of happiness in life, forgiveness, dealing with worry, and managing excessive busyness. In his new memoir Because I Come from a Crazy Family: The Making of a Psychiatrist,  Dr. Hallowell opens the blinds into his family life and willingly shows the insight of a young child who became a top expert in his field.
