Erin Velandy became a member of Parents League in 2017 and a volunteer in 2018. She served as an editor for Let’s Play, an editorial assistant for the Review, and as a member of the sponsorship and development team for school fairs. Erin was appointed Co-editor of the Review in 2020 and to the Parents League Board of Directors in 2021.
Before moving to New York, Erin spent ten years with the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, in Washington, D.C., where she worked in the Housing and Civil Enforcement Section and the Voting Section. During that time, she also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, and as an ethics official for the Civil Rights Division.
Erin has been a member of the Junior League since 2007, first in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., and now in New York. She is also a Parents Association volunteer at her child's independent school.
