Kathleen Walas Sarakatsannis
As past President of the Avon Foundation, Kathleen transformed the Foundation from a $3 million private corporate foundation into a $75+ million world-recognized public charity—the world’s largest foundation for women. Concurrent to leading the Avon Foundation, Kathleen reported to the Chairman and CEO as the first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility Officer of Avon Products, Inc.
After bringing the Avon Foundation to its 50th anniversary, Kathleen was recruited to Timex Group, one of the world’s largest watch companies, and served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, reporting to the company’s CEO. Kathleen has also directed brand awareness for Olympic Games’ sponsorship and for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s renowned Women of Enterprise Awards. Kathleen currently consults for start-ups, Fortune 500, and not-for-profit clients.
Kathleen served as President of the Parents League from 2015-2017 and is a current board member. She is an active parent volunteer at her son’s independent school in New York City and is a member of the Columbia-New York Presbyterian Health Sciences Advisory Council.
She resides in New York City, is a magna cum laude graduate of New York University, wife of a corporate General Counsel, the mother of three boys, an enthusiastic land conservationist and a resolute, hopeful gardener and knitter.
