Laurie Barrada

Laurie is a former President and Vice President of the Parents League Board. She has served on the Board since 2016 and as co-chair of the Program Committee from 2013-2019.  She has been a Parents League member and volunteer since 2011 when her family consulted on preschool admissions upon moving from London, England to New York City.

Laurie holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Her professional experience is in strategy, management consulting and marketing in consumer goods. Before putting her career on hold to raise her daughters, Laurie was on the executive team as Marketing Director for Links of London, a fashion jewelry brand.

Volunteerism and nonprofit work have always been a central part of Laurie’s life. For ten years she held various board leadership positions for the Junior League in London. In New York City, she is an active Parents Association leader at her daughters’ independent schools and is on the Leadership Committee for Learning Through Art (LTA) at the Guggenheim Museum.
