Lisa Samick

Lisa Samick is the Director of Early Childhood and Family Engagement at the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) at Temple Israel of the City of New York. Prior, she was the Director of Early Childhood Education at Brooklyn Heights Synagogue, and the Education Coordinator at Park Avenue Synagogue. She currently serves as Vice President of Membership for the Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism.

Lisa has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for more than 20 years, with an emphasis on Jewish and family education. Her experience with event planning, grant writing and staff training have been critical to her success.  Lisa has been involved with the Parents League as an Early Childhood Director for the past six years, and was honored to write for the 2017 Parents League Review.

Lisa graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Education and Child Development from the George Washington University and pursued her Doctorate in Education and Jewish Studies, with a concentration on Jewish Early Childhood Education from New York University.  She is also a very proud UES Mom to daughter, Jenna.
