Erin​ C. Gleysteen

Erin is a mother of two, an educator, special education resource, advocate, and parent educator. Over the past 15+ years, she worked in a variety of roles in education in both New York and the Boston area. She began her career leading an elementary inclusion classroom outside Boston in the Natick Public Schools, supporting both typically developing students and students with identified special needs. After moving to New York, she was a teacher and program specialist at the Gateway School. Currently, she is working part-time as an education consultant, advocate, and parent educator. She is passionate about supporting children and families across learning profiles and social-emotional needs throughout their early childhood and the elementary years.

She began her Parents League journey in 2020, when she was looking for a preschool for her daughter. Since then, she’s continued to rely on Parents League events and advisory services, while also serving as a volunteer. She is an active volunteer in her children’s school communities and served on The Church of the Epiphany Day School advisory board. After experiencing the Parents League’s support firsthand, she’s committed to giving back and helping empower other families. Erin graduated from Salve Regina University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education and holds a Masters in Language and Literacy from Framingham State University.
