Be sure to have these important application deadlines and notification dates on your calendar during the school admissions process. Many New York City private and independent schools follow these guidelines for notifying families of school acceptances and waitlists.

The following schedule applies to ISAAGNY Member Schools and other schools who follow ISAAGNY guidelines.
For applications and files completed by Thursday, January 11th, 2024:
Early Notification Dates
Participating schools cannot require parents of qualifying applicants* to opt in for Early Notification prior to Friday, November 17th, 2023 at 12:00 noon.
School reports must be submitted (by sending schools, to receiving schools) by Friday, December 1st, 2023 at 12:00 noon.
*Qualifying applicants for Early Notification are siblings of current or former students, legacy (a parent or guardian has matriculated at the school), children of current faculty or staff, active congregants of an affiliated religious institution, or children of current students, faculty, or staff of an affiliated academic institution. ISAAGNY member schools may choose to narrow these qualifiers, but may not expand on them.
