Donation Resources for the Crisis in Ukraine

Many families are concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, though knowing how to make sense of such an emergency can be difficult, especially with children in a household. If you are looking to help your child make sense of this moment or wish to provide direct support for the ongoing efforts for displaced Ukrainian families, we offer the following resource list of organizations. Each of these 501(c)(3) organizations is accepting financial contributions, in any amount, as they organize support services throughout Europe. While your instincts may be to donate something tangible, we have learned that financial resources are more easily managed by the many organizations working to support those in need. Please note the descriptions of the organizations listed come from the organizations themselves.

  • Save the Children – is concerned for children caught in the middle of armed conflict, forced from their homes in freezing temperatures, and exposed to injury, hunger, and cold. Donations to Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund can help provide children and families with immediate aid, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance. 501 Kings Highway East, Suite 400, Fairfield, CT 06825
  • Razom’s Emergency Response – The organization provides urgent help and support in face of an extreme and unforeseen situation in Ukraine. Razom is responding to this by providing critical medical supplies and amplifying the voices of Ukrainians.  The current emergency response is focused on purchasing medical supplies for critical situations like blood loss and other tactical medicine items.  We have a large procurement team of volunteers that tracks down and purchases supplies and a logistics team that then gets them to Ukraine. 140 2nd Ave., Suite 305, New York, NY 10003
  • Nova Ukraine – Nova Ukraine is dedicated to raising awareness about Ukraine in the US and throughout the world and providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine. They work closely with non-profits and volunteers focused on helping Ukraine. They organize fundraisers, meetings with Ukrainian celebrities, round table discussions dedicated to Ukraine and Ukrainian culture, and participate in various cultural events. 963 Mears Ct, Stanford, CA, 94305
  • Unicef – Unicef is dedicated to working with partners to reach vulnerable children and families with essential services including health, education, protection, water, and sanitation. UNICEF is also scaling up its response to meet the urgent needs of children and families crossing into neighboring countries. These efforts include setting up ‘Blue Dot’ safe spaces along transit routes for children and mothers to access services. 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038
  • International Rescue Committee – The IRC is on the ground in Poland supporting displaced children and families with vital supplies. Your gift will help provide food, medical care, and emergency support services to refugee families in countries like Ukraine. P.O. Box 6068, Albert Lea, MN 56007-9847
