Foxcroft is a 9-12 girls boarding school located in idyllic Middleburg, Virginia. Grounded as an equestrian community, the school offers a gateway to the South, especially opportunities to discover Southern colleges and universities. As a small school, the community is nurturing and challenging as students explore their individual passions and interests in the context of a college-preparatory environment. Surrounded by the horse country of Loudon County, FXC is only 45 minutes from Dulles airport and easy access to the DC metro area for cultural events, resources, and network connections.
Exceptional Proficiency (a signature program) empowers the individual student to lean into a focus area (i.e. equestrian, STEM, performance) while the school shapes academic commitments around the student's exploration. Students propose and present their plans--examples include spending Winters in Florida to horseback ride and show, participating in competitive skiing around the country, or traveling for artistic performances at diverse venues. Faculty review and help strengthen logistics.
FXC's multimillion-dollar campaign is also bringing new STEM and performance facilities to campus in the coming years.
